Greater focus, clear points of contact and bundled system expertise for partners in trade, industry and welding technology.
Kjellberg Finsterwalde is strategically realigning its expertise in welding technology. Since 1 January 2026, the submerged arc high performance welding business area within the Kjellberg Group has been bundled at Kjellberg Finsterwalde Plasma und Maschinen GmbH, with Torsten Scheer having joined its management team on 1 September 2025.
The aim of this decision is to link development, production and system expertise even more closely. This will make processes more efficient, shorten innovation cycles and further strengthen technological performance in the field of submerged arc high performance welding.

Continuity for partners and customers
For existing partners and customers, cooperation remains reliable. Proven Kjellberg quality “Made in Germany” from Finsterwalde, consistent delivery times, familiar service standards and personal support remain unchanged.
Existing contracts will of course be fulfilled as agreed. To ensure a smooth transition phase until the end of June 2026, orders can continue to be placed via Kjellberg Finsterwalde Schweißtechnik- und Verschleißschutzsysteme GmbH. This ensures that ongoing projects can continue without interruption.

Clear responsibilities in dealer support
In parallel with the bundling of welding expertise, dealer support in the DACH region is also being structured more clearly.
With immediate effect, Andreas Roßnagel is the central point of contact for the following product areas.
- Welding electrodes as well as repair and hardfacing electrodes
- cutting electrodes and products for plasma gouging
- submerged arc welding products and related components
- manual plasma applications and mobile plasma cutting systems of the CUTFIRE series
With this arrangement, Kjellberg Finsterwalde is bundling support for these product areas centrally. Dealers therefore have a clear point of contact for technical advice, quotations, sales support and application related coordination.
Automated cutting technology remains within the existing structures
Responsibility for automated plasma systems, CNC plasma cutting systems, robot applications as well as automated cutting and marking solutions remains unchanged within the existing sales structures. This includes systems such as the iQ-Series, Q-Series, Smart Focus and HiFocus series as well as related automation and accessory solutions.
In this way, Kjellberg Finsterwalde creates a clear distinction between the product areas covered and at the same time ensures continuity for complex automated cutting and marking applications.
Personal support and technical proximity
Sascha Rudnik, Head of SAW and Retrofit, remains the reliable point of contact for all matters relating to submerged arc high performance welding. On site personal support is strengthened by Andreas Roßnagel, Sales Manager DACH.
With the new structure, Kjellberg Finsterwalde combines continuity with additional strength in consulting, application technology and sales. Partners benefit from clear channels, technical expertise and even closer integration within the Kjellberg Group.
