The aim of the project is to design a mobile container solution which integrates several welding processes for additive manufacturing as well as the possibility for pre-machining and post-processing. In the future, this „repair factory“ shall enable the repair of defect components directly onsite, thus reducing downtimes and costs.
Part of the subproject is the development and testing of a multi-wire TIG technology which makes it possible to repair components by means of graded material systems.
