• Basics of bevel cutting: Safety instruction, kinematics, robot
• Tool Center Point (TCP): Installation, tools for adjusting
• Bevel: Definition of form of seam and bevel angle, measuring of an angle, Standard ISO 9013, cutting sequence
• Influencing parameters: Cutting table and supports, consumables and geometry of consumables, Deviation of plasma arc, calculation of cutting height, root face, material thickness
• Compensation values: Specifics, handling of cutting database “PerfectBevel”
• Aspects and limitation of bevel cutting: Initial finding, collision protection, bevel device, Software, length of torches
• Cutting sequence: Practice, comparison of YAS/YDS-cuts
• Components: wear, MVE-torches, Rotator torch, bending radius, use of protection sleeve, specifics of height control
• Failures of bevel cutting
• Practical exercises of selected parts and materials
• Welding preparation: Basics, Standard DIN EN 1090
• InFocus welding: Process, specifics

Teaching Method:

The theoretical course content are taught in the form of lectures and then deepened or enhanced by practical workshop elements.
