Contour Cut cutting sample holes

Contour Cut (CC) is a technology for cutting small contours, narrow webs and especially small holes in mild steel.

The user benefits from the excellent cut quality. The cut parts have a smooth cut surface and remain sharp-edged on the upper and lower side. Thus, time-consuming rework can be reduced. The productivity increases while the costs decrease.

While the systems of other manufacturers require additional equipment, Contour Cut is a standard feature of all our plasma cutting machines of the HiFocus (except HiFocus 80i), Smart Focus and Q series. In particular when using the Contour Cut technology for cutting holes with a diameter to thickness ratio of 1:1, highest quality can be achieved. Power sources of the Q series cut precise holes even with a ratio of 0.75:1 thanks to the Q-Hole technology.

For users with older machines a retrofit is available on request to be able to use the CC technology.

Contour Cut Speed
Cutting of Contours up to 50 % faster

Contour Cut Speed is the further development of the patented Contour Cut technology for cutting small contours and holes in mild steel. With Contour Cut Speed (CCS) contours can be cut at similar quality up to 50 % faster. For CCS the same consumables are used thus enriching the existing CC technology by essential economic aspects, i.e. reduced costs per cutting metre by higher cutting speeds with excellent quality, very small heat-affected zone, high contour accuracy, angularity and surface quality.
