Container Welding Unit
 The submerged-arc welding system of the type SOL is designed for the fully mechanised joining of rolled steel sheets to form complete containers. Two separate welding units allow the parallel joining of steel sheets and the welding of bottom and top which reduces workpiece distortion to a minimum. A central control unit for both processes increases the process reliability.
When designing this container welding unit the focus was on increasing the degree of automation. Processing steps that were so far carried out manually have been integrated into the mechanised production process in order to achieve a considerable quality improvement. The two welding heads for circular seams working in parallel are fixed to a solid base frame and can be variably adjusted, thus allowing the production of various shapes of containers and boilers.
The welding unit convinces with its compact design and high welding speeds.
