Welding Portals and Travelling Carriages
 Travelling carriages and welding portals made by Kjellberg Finsterwalde are always designed according to customer specifications. Each portal is produced and installed according to the customer's special applications and conditions. Energy chains, wheel sets, switching cabinets and the control unit with emergency stop chain are included in the basic equipment.
Welding portals are in particular suited for welding on very long or very large components. The main fields of application include SA or GMA fillet welding in the automotive industry, in bridge building and metal construction. For joint welding, the maximum clear width of the Kjellberg portal is 11 m and the maximum clear height is 2.5 m. For surfacing, the clear width is reduced to 4m for process-related reasons. A pendulum device allows the large-scale surfacing of workpieces.
Further, all Kjellberg portals are equipped with a platform for power sources and crane trolleys or gear racks for the support of the welding equipment. Thus, it is possible to use different welding processes simultaneously.
