Manual Submerged-Arc Welding Unit
The wire feeding unit DV UP-H with integrated control unit and four-wheel drive is designed for manual submerged-arc welding and optimised for use in connection with the hand torch UP-H 500. The system is suited for welding large seam geometries without any possibility of automation, e.g. frames of windmill towers or large fittings of containers and pipes.
The wire feeding unit can be used for welding with solid wires as well as filler wires. The machine can be operated in two-stroke or four-stroke mode. All Kjellberg power sources of the GTH series can be used as power sources for SA welding. Nominal values for welding current, arc voltage and welding speed can easily be pre-adjusted.
The flux supply is realised with a mobile pressure tank. The easy-to-handle hand torch is equipped with a separate flux shutoff device that enables the operator to directly start and end the welding process.
The well-protected electronics allows a high degree of mobility of the SA welding unit. The currentless wire threading makes it easier to weld even under difficult conditions.
