Plasma cutting systems made by Kjellberg Finsterwalde are characterized by excellent cutting quality and highest cutting speeds.
Users have clear ideas of the quality they want to achieve when cutting certain parts. The best quality is not always required because it is often achieved only with reduced cutting speed. There are tremendous productivity potentials here if the required quality can be achieved with the highest-possible cutting speed. Especially long-run cuts or contours can be cut at higher speed. Compared to a high-quality standard cut, the outline contours of a high-speed part can be processed with a speed of up to 12 m/min. Inner contours like holes have to be cut at a little lower speed in order to achieve the required precision. Cutting speeds of up to 5 m/min are therefore used for hole cutting.*
The cutting speed has the greatest influence on the real costs per cutting metre which pushes other variable process costs into the background. For example, increasing the cutting speed by 10% leads to a considerable advantage in productivity and reduces the costs per cutting metre by approx. 8%.
The Kjellberg Finsterwalde sales team works with customized cost calculations and compares the effectiveness of a variety of applications.
* The speeds that can be achieved depend on the material, the material thickness and the guiding system.
