Kjellberg Finsterwalde Moves into the Future of Plasma Cutting

Bevel cutting with PerfectBevel In the metalworking industry, there are various approaches on the topic Industry 4.0. For Kjellberg Finsterwalde, any consideration on this topic still puts the user at the heart of the discussions because the user’s productivity should be increased and work processes should be made easier. The latest results of our development work were presented at the trade show Schweissen und Schneiden:

New Generation Q Power Sources

The new generation Q power sources show how networking and communication will change production processes of the future. According to the requirements of Industry 4.0, the power sources with a modular design can form networks and exchange information with their own as well as other components. The emphasis here is on the digital process monitoring and process control as well as the possibility for remote access. Kjellberg Finsterwalde has therefore developed an extensive operator interface for the user that is device-independent and location-independent and were demonstrated at the trade show Schweissen & Schneiden for the first time.

Kjellberg Finsterwalde – the Specialist for Plasma Bevel Cutting

For more than 20 years, Kjellberg Finsterwalde has developed and manufactured special plasma torches for bevel cutting. The high quality and robustness of these torches allows reproducible and high-precision bevel cuts. As a new addition to the family of plasma bevel torches the PB-S75 WF were presented. It can be used for multiple bevel cuts up to 60°. Thanks to its especially flat design this torch is suitable for straight and bevel cuts also in case of limited accessibility (i.e. profiles). If it is used in multiple-torch bevel fixtures, the work steps are reduced and thus the productivity is increased.
Additionally, Kjellberg Finsterwalde will in future provide bevel cutting data under the name PerfectBevel for preparing sheets with a thickness between 5 and 30 mm. With the really assessed reference values of the database it is possible to achieve precise bevel cuts quickly and easily in the Contour Cut quality for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Taking an optimum weld preparation into consideration and depending on the material and material thickness, compensation values are specified for V, Y, X and K welds. The high precision and reproducibility reduces the material usage for welding and increases the productivity because the waste and therefore also the rework can be minimised. The PerfectBevel cutting database will be available for all machines of the HiFocus and Smart Focus series.
